Thank you for your interest in the HJC.
Your support is essential to ensuring the success of our programs. While grant funding has allowed us to continue Anya's Kids, individual contributions provide the foundation of support we need to continue our work in communities in need.
Consider an offer of monthly support. This more stable funding helps us meet our program goals over time.

School supplies needed in Batey 1
Recently the children of Batey were fortunate enough to have their deteriorating school house rebuilt by a German development organization. Their brand new school is an expansive, clean cement structure. However the school is empty, without the resources that will help the young people in Batey 1 receive a quality education. In addition there is no funding for salaries for cooking and cleaning staff and supplies. If you would like to donate towards this initiative, please specify "Batey 1 School Fund" when you donate by clicking here. We are also collecting school supplies, computers (preferably laptops with power cords) or children's books in spanish. If you have any of these items that you are able to donate, please contact us at healthjustice@thehjc.org as soon as possible!
Batey 8 Sala de Tarea
Please also consider contributing to Kaveh Azimi's Peace Corps project in Batey 8. Kaveh has provided his time and support to HJC as a volunteer since he arrived in a neighborhing batey2006. He is now raising funds to build an after-school center, a sala de tareain Batey 8, a community that is situated just down the road from Batey 1 where HJC is currently working. The educational system in the bateyes is poor at best and this center will provide support and opportunity to the children, parents and teachers in the bateyes. Help the children of Batey 8 realize their right to a quality education today! Click here to be redirected to the Carribean region of the Peace Corps donation page. Make sure you click on K. Azimi to make a contribution. Thank you!
